WHAT MAKES THEM DIFFERENT?

FUNCTIONING

On the META V5 traction and grip have been optimised in the technical areas.

By comparison, the META SX V5 offers greater travel and increased progressiveness to tackle ever more demanding trails and handle big landings.

REAR TRIANGLE

‏For both the META V5 and the META SX V5, the lengths of the chain stays are different depending on the size of the bike, to adapt better to riders’ sizes and to better distribute the weight between the front and rear wheel axles.

‏The rear triangle of the META SX V5 is stiffer, to provide increased precision and more support through the downforce. The chain stays are extended to balance the grip and stabilize the bike, like on our SUPREME DH V5.

WHEEL SIZE

With 29-inch wheels the META V5 promotes performance and the ability to stay above terrain potholes in order to maintain speed and comfort.

‏The 29/27.5-inch wheel assembly of the META SX V5 improves its stability on descents, facilitates braking and gives it more dynamism when changing direction.

FLIP CHIP

‏To adapt the bikes’ behaviour to the type of ride the META V5 is equipped with a flip chip.

‏High position for riding sessions with more pedalling.
‏Low position for when things get steep on the downhill.

THE VIRTUAL CONTACT SYSTEM EXPLAINED

‏The VIRTUAL CONTACT SYSTEM (VCS) is our virtual pivot point suspension kinematics.

Combined with our geometries it offers the best possible behaviour to our mountain bikes.

‏Grip is exceptional with the VCS because it effectively filters small shocks.

‏Dynamic by its design, the VCS promotes speed gain. Stable through the travel, pedalling efficiency is also remarkable.

‏At the end of the travel the VCS manages perfectly to absorb significant shocks for maximum comfort.

‏Whether downhilling or pedalling and whatever the condition of the terrain, the VCS makes no compromises.

THE GREATEST OF ALL TRAILS

The META V5 is a high performance, fast mountain bike that has already been proven in a race environment. It is easy to handle and adapts to the terrain and the rider without ever compromising the joys of the riding itself. Dynamic to set the pace and comfortable on long runs, the META V5 pedals hard thanks to the VCS and takes on all the pitfalls the terrain throws.
Stable at high speeds and manoeuvrable in tight turns, it is at home everywhere. We made it to win.

The META SX V5 is driven before its ridden. Bike park or secret trails, this is the bike that will be there in any scenario. Ready to be pinned with monstrous grip, the META SX V5 is the ideal machine for riders looking for a mountain bike that feels like a mini-downhill model, this strong character now associated with our VCS kinematics.

The bike is all-around just more playful. In the air, on the ground, it has great stability and is noticeably lighter. The suspension design is more dynamic, soaks up small chatter and big impacts. This is my new favourite bike.
